Tony Medhurst Obituary

I'm contacting you with sad news. Unfortunately one of your old boys passed away last week.
Anthony Leonard Medhurst attended the school from 1936-1945 and went on to set up his own
business as a shoe repairer after receiving his training at Chailey. It was his wish that all donations
received at his funeral service should be passed on to your organisation, so that he could show his
appreciation for all the help he was given to lead as normal a life as possible.
Anthony Leonard Medhurst. Died peacefully at Maidstone Hospital on 21st August 2012 aged 83
years. Loving husband of Irene, father to Stephen, Jennifer and Philip, proud grandfather to Hollie,
Vikki, Sian and Zoe, great grandfather to Abigail. Funeral service in celebration of his life (colourful
clothes only please) on Monday 17th September at Tunbridge Wells Crematorium 12:00 noon.
Family flowers only but donations to "Frends of Chailey Heritage" care of H J Johnson and Son,
Chiddingstone Causeway, Tonbridge TN11 8LE.
